Forest Lullaby

"Wow."

submission: Forest Lullaby
date: October 17, 2005

This is greatest piece of it's category I've ever heard. It's just waaayyy too short. The song has athmosphere and tone but how do you expect even the greatest flash guru of all time to make the watchers to feel anything if the background song lasts for only 36 seconds / 14 tabs? Extend it. The flash authors should shorten the long music for their needs, not the other way around. If this track would be say... 2 minutes long, this would be double platinium and in the first place every toplist. Shame on you wasting a beautiful and perfect composition to be in a too short song.

In short: Beautiful but short. Extend it. Way more.

Author's Response:

hey, thanks for reviewing!

again, the reason for the length was because this song was composed specifically as background music for a certain video clip.

the song in itself was intended to be short. I happen to like the song at its present length, and have had many tell me the same.

your comment about flash authors brings up a great point...put it this way: I would NEVER have ANY flash artist use ANY of my songs AS-IS...I would always collaborate with each individual artist over the needs of the specific song. in this case, with Forest Lullaby, if any artist were to use this song in a flash, I would happily extend it or otherwise change it for his/her needs, as would I with any of my other songs.

so flash artists, keep that in mind! I am willing to customize songs for your flash projects.

as a stand-alone piece, I have said it before: this song would work best as a short, one-shot, transitional interlude in a album...or something of that sort.

thanks again for reviewing...glad you liked it!

Reminds me of Jazz Jackrabbit 2's soundtrack. Anyways, tight stuff. Keep it going!

Only that it starts right up. Some cool fill would've been great for the start. Anyways great. It reminds me of Microsoft's Age Of... -games' music.

I get confused time to time and start listening to the anti-loop that it creates. Can't really catch to the beat. Great sounds and athmosphere. Could see the intro of that before the anti-/normal loop in a movie or something.

This starts so sobby and then suddenly turns into another song. Whoah. That's hard to do. Hard to do.

Author's Response:

I'm definately gonna use this in my flash. Good work, keep it up.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review. This song was hard to write a melody to because the chord progression is very different.

Hurry. Don't know was it the song or you, but either one is in a hurry. Somekind of weird dream I would see with this music. Dunno.
